Christy Sutherland

Christy is a family doctor with a focus on addiction medicine. She works in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside providing clinical care within a harm reduction model. She is the medical director at the Bosman Hotel Community, and co-medical director at the Portland Hotel Society. She works in a shared care model alongside psychiatry and infectious disease specialists to provide care to her patients. Dr. Sutherland acts as a “community collaborator” in the IMPART program sharing her expertise and insight into addictions medicine. She does not accept research trainees in a mentoring capacity.
