Research Practicum on Gender, Women and Addiction
The research practicum will enable Trainees/Fellows to develop the skills and knowledge required by researchers involved in gender, women and addictions research. Approval of research practicum settings will depend upon the "fit" between the research training needs of Trainees/Fellows, the availability of relevant sites for conducting research and support requirements. Potential practicum settings include policy, practice and laboratory environments. Research practicums may vary and include:
  • designing research protocols
  • evaluating existing data sources for use in gender, women and addictions research
  • participating in activities that would strengthen learner understanding of addiction, treatments, service provision.
