Dr. Boyle is an independent academic whose research interests focus on gender, power and inequality in sport and media representation. Her work has been published in both national and international journals as well as on the syllabi of university courses in media studies, sport studies and gender studies. Her research contributes to our knowledge of the intersecting ways in which bodies are gendered and subject to power in sport and the broader cultures in which it is embedded.
