The online core course, which is currently under development with an expected release date of September 2007, is a WebCT-based, student-directed course that covers the core concepts of Women, Gender & Addictions.  The proposed modules for this course include:
  1. History & Perspective on Gender, Women & Addictions Research
  2. Sex and Gender Analysis
  3. The Epidemiology of Addictions
  4. Mechanisms of Addiction
  5. Consequences of Addiction for Individuals, Families and Society
  6. Treatments & Strategies
  7. Issues in Research Design for Addictions Research
  8. Ethical and Scholarly Integrity in Addictions Research
  9. Bridging Clinical and Academic Research: Evidence-Based Practice in Addictions
  10. Knowledge Translation
The modules are designed to be short (~30 minutes per module to complete) and online discussion groups within the WebCT site allow for trainees and mentors to engage in a  transdisciplinary discussion of the issues raised within the modules.
